Episode 162: Supporting a Loved with a Mental Health Challenge with Ember Pilate

May 27, 2024

More often than not, when we think of someone in a mental health crisis, it can be easy to forget about the person who loves and cares for them. They too need support. Unfortunately, there aren't as many resources for the family members and loved ones. Ember Pilate wants to change that.

As a wife and mom, who herself has struggled with mental health, she knows first hand just how imperative the caretaker role is during a mental health crisis. The caretaker also needs mental health resources, mental and emotional resilience skills, and to know how to handle difficult situations in a more positive and supportive manner for the people they love. Ember joins me this week on The LDS Mental Health Podcast to share her experiences, advice, and resources for caretakers.
