Episode 163: The Secret to Becoming Mentally Strong

I recently saw the following quote on instagram that inspired me so I wanted to elaborate on it. I really feel like it represents one of the main reasons women struggle with their mental health or their mental health is worse than it needs to. It reads,

"Weights don’t get lighter in the gym, our muscles get stronger. Life doesn’t get easier to handle, our mind becomes more equipped to cope with challenges."

I love this quote because women often feel that if they are having difficulties in life it means they are doing something wrong or they aren’t adequate. The truth is though, life will never stop giving us hardship because we live in a fallen world and we just aren’t that powerful to stop the flow of opposition coming our way. Though we may not be able to make things lighter or easier,  we CAN strengthen ourselves to be more equipped for what is coming our way.
